Princess Di made famous the Gyles & George "I'M A LUXURY" sweater in a 1980's photo playing with her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. The iconic sweater is still a luxury item today.

"On March 1st, 2022," says Bryce, "the Russians were early into their invasion of Ukraine, and the West was levying sanctions on Russia and its oligarchs. I was looking at how oligarchs live and found a shot from the 2018 movie, "Generational Wealth" of one of the their wives wearing this sweater with their daughter on a toy horse. I immediately wanted to paint it, especially because I knew that the back of the sweater says "FEW CAN AFFORD." It's so ridiculously appropriate for the way that the Russian billionaires live compared to normal Russian and Ukrainian people. Or any people, for that matter.

"I used silver and gold as the borders around my disembodied people to expound upon the absurd wealth the oligarchs possess. I dripped the black down onto the little girl. She'll have all the money, and all the sins of her father with which to reconcile.

"I expect there will be generational suffering across Ukraine and Russia because of Putin and his enablers. I also recognize, though, that I'm saying this on March 4th, 2022, and I have no clue how the Russian invasion of Ukraine will play out."
