"When we look at other people, we don’t see the burdens thrust upon them," says Bryce. "Everyone has multiple issues, real or imagined, weighing them down. Emotional. Psychological. Relationship. Financial. Career. Family. They’re invisible, but they weigh a ton. We might ask, 'How are you doing?' but we don't really want the other person to tell us all about their problems.
"I based this on a photo of an Atlas statue or gargoyle I saw on Reddit. If anyone knows where this statue is located, please tell me. His eyes show that resolve we find when we don’t want to be a burden on others. We say to ourselves, 'I have to handle this. If not me, then who? Who's going to care as much as me?' Depending on our situation and whether we’re thinking clearly, that mindset can bring out our best or our worst. Do you see the focused best or self-destructive worst coming out of Atlas?"
