Portrait of John Comly, CEO
January 4, 2022
Size (h w d): 48 x 36 x 1.5 in
Medium: Acrylic On Canvas
Bryce created this piece specifically for John Comly, the CEO of American Safety Council, the company that acquired Bryce and Kyle's company. Bryce completed this piece on the one-year anniversary of the acquisition.
John often wore a fleece zip-up and a backwards baseball cap during the innumerable pandemic Zoom calls with staff. John is also a huge Baltimore Ravens fan, so there is a small Ravens logo on the hat.
Says Bryce, "John is the kind of CEO that every company should wish for. He has amazing vision. He welcomed us into ASC, and was also extremely supportive when Kyle and I wanted to start The Patrons. Part of the reason behind this work was to show that a CEO today isn't the same as a CEO pre-pandemic. The way that we dress, work, and lead all changed in 2020. This painting exemplifies how the next generation of corporate leadership should be viewed, and I'm grateful John was that kind of person."
